Band Places Second At Park Hills
The judging panel was a bit lopsided, but the Wildcat Pride Marching Band steadily improved on their program "A Knight's Journey," at the Park Hills Rebel Invitational on October 18, 2008. The guard had a notably stronger performance, and the band's musical and marching presentation was better than the football halftime just one night before. Our perennial rivals from Mehlville took the top spot, and EHS placed second in a good collection of large sized schools. Although the numbers weren't balanced, the music scores also gave Eureka the Outstanding Music score of the day, and just a scant point away from the visual caption as well.

Another section that was particularly strong this weekend was our parent crew. This team of dads and moms has developed into a finely tuned, self-contained crew of truck loaders and pit, sound, and ladder movers. Thank you, parents, for all you do. This volunteer work allows the teachers to be able to teach on performance days, and the show goes on without a hitch. We are so grateful for you!
